Pita isn't only Albanian. It's eaten all over Former Yugoslavia
This is kind of a good chance to bring up again, but sometimes the foods are not entirely traditional and/or specific to one certain country. The foods posted were prepared I assumed (since they were submissions) by Albanians in the Albanian manner of doing so, and so they’re marked as such. A lot of Nordic, Baltic, Germanic, Slavic, and Mediterranean countries also share foods in similar manners as well, so when food is shown and it’s a common food found in other areas as well, there has been an attempt to make sure it’s prepared by/in/according to the country it’s noted as being from.
- made on a grill outside, its specially made for making “Fli”, its a low grill, the fire is placed on dry ground, and every layer is added per hand, the part thats put on top usually is being moved with a hay rake, because its too hot to touch with hands(submitted by haidebonbon)

Thanks! :D Actually, I have a bit of trouble finding a lot of information out about Portuguese food. I usually find things with more Spanish connotations, and I definitely don’t want to step on anyone’s toes.
If you or anyone would like to hit me up with some typical Portuguese foods or something, I’d be glad to have a day or two of Portuguese food to make up for the lack of it!

Mmm I love pears! And I love you guys coming out of the woodwork for Dutch foods, makes me super happy, I was always considered kind of weird in culinary school because I tried to put Dutch slants on most of my food.. Long live the Netherlands though! :D Interrupting Swedish cuisine for some stewed pears!
